Why should I make this investment?

A birth photographer documents the most precious moments during a Mother's labor and delivery. The moments that are captured between parent and baby but also the whole birth team. Not only is the birth photographer there at the birth but the photographer is also on call. On call is day or night from 38 weeks to 42 weeks and will be at your birth at the first sign of labor.

So lets say, I think I am in labor, when will you arrive?

The birth photographer usually arrives when mom to be is between 5 or 6cm. Now, with this being said, everyone progress differently and each mom may request I arrive earlier.

How long do you stay once baby is born?

My contract states that I will be there for up to an hour after birth. Generally I stay an hour to an hour and a half.

What if I don't want the images shared?

I will only share what you've approved for me to share online.

Will I receive a print release for the images?

Yes, with the final images I will send a print release

How many images will I receive?

Typical clients receive between 120 - 140 images. I don't have a limit so if there's more to give I am happy to!

What if you can't make it to my birth?

If it's during the on call period and something happens where I can't make it my backups will be able to capture the birth.

If it's before the on call period I will do my very best to attend your birth but if I can't attend we will set up a few sessions like a fresh 48 session, newborn or family session.

Do you offer payment plans?

Do you offer discounts?

Yes!

  • Military
  • Veterans
  • Repeat clients
  • If you have a doula
  • Pay cash
  • Pay in full by 37 weeks

Do you have insurance?

This might or might not be a question you've thought of. I do carry insurance. Honestly, it protects me as much as it protects you.

What happens if something goes wrong and I am not having the birth I planned?

I have experienced many births in my years as a birth photographer and one thing I can say is I will do everything in my power to capture the beauty throughout your journey. I will fight to go where you are and cover your birth.

Do you offer maternity or newborn packages?

Yes, I love to offer my birth clients packages that include newborn/maternity sessions.

So, I've read a few books lately and it's definitely deterring me from having a Birth Photographer. Can you help change my mindโ€ฆ

So the greatest advice I can give to you is write a birth story, process and take your time. I deliver the images five weeks postpartum so that means you are given a chance to process your birth. Once I deliver the images you might see strength you never knew you had!
